We start the new season with the less usual combination of a String Trio: the Zurich-based Oreade Trio.  They won first prize at the International String Trio Competition in Munich in 2012 and at the August-Pickhard Foundation’s Chamber Music Competition two years later.

A reviewer commented on their recording of the Mozart Divertimento “For many, the culminating point will be the second movement (Adagio), wiping out all listeners’ sorrows of daily existence. Trio Oreade is here at its best. Finely tuned involv ement, immensely delicate, offering balm for the soul without becoming melodramatic.” (HRaudio.Net)
